Our Overhead Farm Tanks and More: The Perfect Fuel Storage Solution

Overhead Farm Tanks

Our Overhead Farm tanks are the perfect fuel storage solution for areas where electricity is unavailable or for people who do not wish to deal with the hassle of pumps.

The elevated stand allows for gravity fueling. We manufacture them in 160, and 300-gallon options. All Overhead farm tanks come with the stand, gauge, emergency valve, nozzle, and 10-foot hose. The standard fittings for the tanks are a 2” fill, 1” outlet, 1.5” gauge, and ½” drain.

Skid Tanks

Skid tanks get their name from the sled ski-like design of the legs, making them easier to push into position. These have been the standard for fuel storage for years with their simple and effective design. We offer them in a wide variety of sizes from 160 to 4000 gallons. They are not U.L listed and are single walls so we do suggest some type of secondary containment system, like our steel containment, to prevent spillage and ground contamination. The standard fittings for our Skid Tanks are 2” vent, 2” fill, 1.5” gauge, and a ½” drain at the bottom of the tank.

Above Ground Storage Tanks U/L 142 Listed

Commercial Welding’s Above Ground Storage tanks are the new standard in fuel storage. These tanks come in both single and double-walled options, with double-walled meaning that there is an external shell around the inner tank. This eliminates the need for a secondary containment system, and they are much less likely to have spillage or containment issues due to punctures.

These tanks are also U/L 142 listed. We make these tanks in a wide variety of sizes from 160 to 1050 gallons in double wall and 160 to 4000 in single wall and two different skid types, normal and heavy duty. The heavy-duty skids are made from a heavy gauge sheet metal and have cut-outs to allow lifting forks to pass through for easy movement of the tank.

Basement Fuel Storage Tanks

As implied in the name, the Basement Fuel Storage Tank design was originally made for fuel storage in people's homes. While these tanks still fulfill the need, their ovular design is space-saving and great for other liquid storage needs. We produce these tanks in 135, 220, 275, and 400-gallon options. The standard fittings are a 2” vent, 2” fill/gauge, and ½” drain.

Vertical Fuel Storage Tanks

Commercial Welding offers a variety of Vertical Fuel Storage Tank options for any need. Why go with vertical storage? There are a few advantages to this design, but the main one is it allows the same amount of liquid storage but in a smaller floor space. The traditional style cylindrical storage tanks we offer come in sizes from 550 to 4000 gallons. All of these tanks use steel I beam for feet with standard fittings being three 2” fittings and two 2.5” ones. These tanks can also come with an optional glass sight gauge and an 18" bolted manhole. Along with the cylindrical style, we also offer a few oval-style vertical storage tanks.

Benchtop Fuel Storage Tanks

In need of a different style of lubricant storage? Try out our Benchtop Lubricant Storage Tanks. These square tanks come in sizes 180, 235, 280, 400, and 500 gallons. The standard fittings are two 2” and one 1.5” fitting, they also come standard with a hose reel mounting pad. These robust tanks are internally braced for extra strength.

Steel Fuel Tank Containments

We here at Commercial Welding suggest a secondary containment system for any fuel tank, whether they be one of ours or not. Because of this, we offer steel containments that fit all of the tanks that we produce.

These contaminants are made of heavy gauge sheet metal with feet, lifting hooks, and drain plugs. Not only do these contaminants help contain leaks but also accidental spillage and even possible external damage. Our Steel Fuel Tank Containments are offered from 160 to 4000 gallons and come with a 1.5” drain plug.
